In order to promote the growth and development of the Yokohama economy, Yokohama City is focusing on attracting and supporting startups from Japan and overseas.
Takeharu Yamanaka, Mayor of Yokohama in July this year, met with the CEO of German Entrepreneurship GmbH, a startup support organization, at a seminar to attract companies in Berlin. Today, the start-group group (up Pte. (former German Entrepreneurship Asia Pte. Ltd.), the Japanese subsidiary of Start2 Group Co., Ltd. (former German Entrepreneurship Asia Pte. Ltd.), the first Japanese local government to sign a MOU (MOU).
In the future, the two sides will work together to attract overseas startups to Yokohama and to expand the global startups supported by both sides.
