I. TOP Yokohama Lab “Smart Agriculture in Urban Areas” started two new demonstration experiments.

　As part of the initiative of "I thinking Yokohama Lab", Yokohama City recruited new products and services from January to February 2023 to bring about labor saving in agricultural work in urban agriculture, support for cultivation of crops, improvement of farming environment, and more. Two of these projects have already been undertaken.
　This time, we are pleased to announce the demonstration test of the use of the new Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11ah (Wi-Fi HaLowTM), which contributes to the spread of smart agriculture by constructing wireless networks that cover farms in a wide area, and the start of demonstration experiments on a smart agriculture platform that utilizes data obtained from sensors installed in greenhouses for remote consulting.
For other selected projects, demonstration tests will be started as soon as they are coordinated and prepared for implementation.
