The career ladder has been revised in the first joint research with Showa Women's University, a tool that fulfills nursery teachers' "I want to be like this!"

　City of Yokohama, Child and Youth Bureau has revised the “Nursery Career Leader” (Yokohama Model 2024) as the first joint research with Showa Women's University, which signed a partnership agreement in 2020.
　In Yokohama City, we have created career ladders for nursery teachers and used them to develop human resources for staff, but we have diversified childcare needs and the need to improve specialized knowledge and skills accompanying them. We have rebuilt this time in the background of a review of careers in response to an increase in retirement age.
　By using the revised "Nursery Career Leader" as a management tool for nursery teachers working in Yokohama City to understand the potential of careers and independently enhance their expertise in childcare, we will develop human resources who can draw a picture of what they want and work on career development toward that goal.
