Kohoku Ward Office and Yokohama Arena Co., Ltd. are "Kohoku Ward Junior High School Brass Band Exchange Meeting-Sound! Our Music in Yokohama Arena-will be held on October 4th.
This year, due to the influence of COVID-19, the number of opportunities for presentations and performances at junior high school brass band clubs has decreased significantly. Therefore, we invite the brass band clubs of five junior high schools in Kohoku Ward to Yokohama Arena to hold concerts without spectators while maintaining social distance.
This is the first attempt in Japan for junior high school students from multiple schools to perform brass band concerts while maintaining social distance in large arenas during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The performance on the day will be broadcast nationwide at "2020 Hometown Kohoku Fureai Festival on-line".
