In March 2016, Konan Ward created the Konan Ward Disaster Prevention Guide (Junior High School Students Edition) in order to promote the development of disaster-resistant towns. In addition to the earthquake, the content of storms and floods that have become increasingly severe in recent years has been revised in collaboration with local residents, the Konan Ward Junior High School Association, the Konan fire department and the Konan Ward Office.
