In preparation for the typhoon season, the seawalls in the Fukuura and Sachiura districts in Kanazawa-ku and Honmoku districts in Naka-ku have been raised.

　In Port and Harbor Bureau, we are proceeding with revetment work in the Fukuura and Sachiura districts of Kanazawa and Honmoku districts of Naka Ward, which were damaged by the typhoon No. 15 last year. We are pleased to announce that the revetment has been raised in preparation for the typhoon season.
　As a result, even if a typhoon of Class 15 of last year hit at high tide, damage due to high waves can be prevented. We will continue to install wave-dissipation blocks and maintain the surrounding area while protecting temporary construction such as sandbags, and further strengthen disaster prevention capabilities.
