Students from Yokohama Municipal High School visit Yokohama City Council!

With the reduction of the age of suffrage and adult age, it is urgently necessary for the younger generation to reach the age of 18 to develop the ability to participate in society and politics and to have sovereign consciousness.
Therefore, in Yokohama City Council, students from Yokohama Municipal High School visit City Counsil, and through tours of the Capitol and exchanges of opinions with members of the city council, high school students think together with members of Yokohama issues and familiar issues. This is an opportunity for high school students to deepen their understanding and interest in members of the Diet and parliamentary activities as high school students directly communicate their opinions to members of the Diet.
In addition, we welcome Mr. Kana Takamatsu (Representative Director of Shoshitamura Juku Co., Ltd.) as an external lecturer, and discuss the importance of young people independently participating in society and politics, a business trip class “Laughs! Lectures will be given based on the political education show and your own overseas coverage experience to foster a sovereign consciousness among high school students.
