On January 26, 1949, when the mural painting of Kondo Horyuji Temple in Nara Prefecture was burned down, the following day, Showa 25.
The year Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties was enacted. In 1955, January 26 was designated as “Cultural Property Fire Prevention Day”.
In order to protect important cultural properties from disasters such as fires every year around this day, all of them have been determined.
disaster drill and other countries are being implemented on a national basis.
In Yokohama City, all related parties are targeted at 92 cultural properties such as designated registration of temples and other designated cultural properties.
In cooperation with the residents and local residents, we carry out the removal of cultural properties and fire extinguishing drills.
