The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has designated June as “Town Development Month” every year from 1983 in order to promote town development utilizing creativity and ingenuity with the active participation of residents. Awards are given to individuals or groups who have achieved achievements.
It was decided that the next group that had achievement in promotion of town development in Yokohama-shi received Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism commendation (town development month town development merit commendation).
In order to prevent the spread of infection in COVID-19 infection, the award ceremony was canceled.
