In Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama City, we are deepening our cooperation with Okinawa through the promotion of the "Chimudon" Yokohama Tsurumi Project, which makes use of the Asahi Dora stage. Taking advantage of this connection, we will hold an event "Tsurumi / Churaumi Summer School 2024" with the theme of "marine environment protection" in cooperation with companies in Yokohama city and Okinawa prefecture.
Last year, it was held only on one day, but this time it was expanded to two days on Saturday, August 31 and September 1 (Sun), further enhancing hands-on content, and Monday, August 5 will also hold a special lecture at Yokohama Bay Bridge Skywalk as a related event.
Through this event, we aim to give children an opportunity to think about "how to protect the rich sea" and "what can be done to protect the sea".
