Nine Prefectural City Summit Meetings
The purpose is to actively work on wide-area issues jointly in order to improve the comprehensive conditions of human life by utilizing the vast amount of local vitality shared by the governors and mayors of nine prefectures based on a long-term perspective. And

Configuration
Mayors of Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chiba, Saitama and Sagamihara
Governors of Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo and Kanagawa
Establishment
1979
Established as a summit meeting of six prefectural cities.
1992
The Mayor of Chiba will join the summit meeting of seven prefectures.
2003
The Mayor of Saitama will join the summit meeting of eight prefectures.
2010
The Mayor of Sagamihara will join the summit meeting of the nine prefectures.
Organization
Under the summit meeting, a committee consisting of the head of the department in charge is set up, and a secretary meeting and subcommittee consisting of the section manager in charge and practical staff are set up under this committee to conduct specific surveys, examinations, and discussions on the management of the summit and wide-area issues.
In addition, items that have been discussed at the summit meeting and decided to be intensively examined are being examined by the Tokyo Metropolitan Federation Council.
