Fifth Block Disposal Site Development Project

  • Water-shilled seawall

The structure of the imperfection revetment is divided into the "main body part" that separates the water area where waste is invested and the surrounding area, and the "base part" that supports the main body part.
In designing, we are working to reduce construction costs as much as possible by devising a method of landfilling waste (*).

(※) In some sections, we plan to reclaim the soil generated outside construction in line with the input of waste inside the impermeable revetment so that no large force is applied to the impermeable revetment from one side. (Equal Landfill)
・Foundation part
We will improve the ground using the deep mixing process (CDM*) method. (*Obbreviation of Cement Deep Mixing)
By agitating soft earth and sand (conventional ground) deposited under the surface of the water with cement, it is strengthened so that the main body can be supported, and the water-shielding property is ensured.
・Main part
The system will be developed in two types of structural forms: steel sheet cell type and cason type.

Steel plate cell type

In the section where the outside of the imperfection revetment is reclaimed prior to construction soil, a large force is applied from one side, so we are examining to withstand the pressure and selecting a steel sheet cell type.

A huge steel plate "cylindrical" is installed, sand and rocks are poured inside to pack the inside.
In addition to installing these continuously, each "cylindrical" is connected with steel plate to form a seawall.
Between the steel sheet cell and the foundation part, a material that is deformed so that it adheres to the shape of the foundation ground to ensure water insulation.

Cason type

For areas where “Equal Landfill” is performed, we have selected a cathson type that can have a slim structure.
(structure)
A huge reinforced concrete box (caisson) will be installed and packed inside.
These are installed continuously to form a revetment.
The impermeability between the caisson and the foundation, and between the caisson and the caisson, is ensured by using a material that deforms to adhere to the shape between the gaps.
(Size of caisson: 20m long, 9.5m wide, 15m high)
