Traditional Culture Preservation Society

Connect tradition to the next generation

The Izumi Traditional Culture Preservation Society consists of three groups: the Yokohama Izumi Kabuki Preservation Society, the Izumi folk performing arts Preservation Society, and the Sagami Kite Izumi Preservation Society. We started activities on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Izumi Ward system. We cooperate with each other and continue activities to preserve, pass on and spread local culture transmitted to the region.
It is no exaggeration to say that Izumi Ward is the only place in the city where such a variety of traditional cultures continue to work. It is a traditional culture that connects to the next generation. I want to convey this wonderful local culture to the children. First of all, please try it. We look forward to your participation as a friend who conveys tradition.
