We are looking for investigators for the census in Reiwa 7 (2025)!

With the deadline of October 1, 2025, the census will be conducted nationwide.
The census is the most basic and important survey in Japan conducted based on the Statistical Law, and grasps the actual situation of domestic population and obtains basic data on various administrative measures.
It is intended for all people living in the country for the purpose.
Since Kanazawa Ward requires about 1,000 census personnel to conduct the survey, we are looking for people who can engage in the survey.
What is a census officer?
Investigators who visit the target households and explain the survey and distribute, collect, and inspect questionnaires.
A briefing session will be held before the start of the survey to explain the details of the work, so even first-timers can conduct research activities with confidence.
Application requirements
1. Those who can carry out the work of investigators on their own with responsibility
2. As a general rule, those over 20 years old (as of September 1, 2025)
3. Those who trust in the protection of secrets
4. Those who are not directly related to elections and police
5. Gangsters and other persons who do not fall under antisocial forces
※ If you can conduct research activities in Kanazawa Ward, you can apply for those living outside the ward.
Activity Period
From the beginning of September to the end of October, Reiwa 7 (2025)
Contents of work
The following contents from 1 to 5 will be performed over a period of about two months from early September to late October.
It is not something you work every day, but you can work at your own pace within about two months, so even those who have another job can do it.
1. Participation in investigator briefings
Participate in briefings hosted by the ward and understand the contents of the survey. (early September to mid-September)
2. Preparing for confirmation and distribution of areas in charge
Check the survey area in charge and prepare to distribute the survey documents. (After the briefing session to September 19)
3. Explanation of survey and distribution of survey documents
Visit the households to be surveyed, explain the purpose and contents of the survey, and ask them to fill out a survey form. (September 20 to September 30)
4. Distribution of answer confirmation leaflets and collection of questionnaires
Distribute "Response Confirmation Leaflet" to households subject to the survey. (October 1-October 3)
Only households that have promised to submit the investigator will visit again and collect the completed questionnaire. (October 1-October 8)
5. Arrangement and submission of survey documents / reminder to households who have not submitted questionnaires
Organize the survey documents by the designated date and submit them to the ward. After that, a reminder is given to households who have not submitted the questionnaire. (Mid-October to late October)
Identity and Compensation
- During the investigation period, a part-time government employee appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications will be compensated as a public affairs accident in the unlikely event of an accident during an investigation.
- You will be paid after the survey is completed.
2 About 70,000 yen in the survey area
※This includes transportation expenses in the previous performance. The amount varies depending on the number of survey areas and the number of households in charge.

- After applying, we will have a brief interview at the ward office.
- Please note that depending on the location of the survey area and investigators, the survey area may not be the desired survey area or the request of an investigator may not be possible.
