Temporary information on Yokohama infectious diseases
Herpangina Information
Herpangina is an infection in which a sudden fever occurs after an incubation period of 2-4 days followed by sore throat. The pharyngeal mucosa turns red, especially 1-2 mm of blisters and ulcers appear in the back of the throat. It usually cures in about a week. Hand washing is important for prevention.
