Periodontal disease health check-up

We carry out periodontal disease health check-up with the aim of promoting prevention and early detection of periodontal disease, which is a major cause of tooth loss, and supporting a healthy and comfortable life in old age.

As of the date of the consultation, citizens aged 40, 50, 60, and 70 living in Yokohama City who are 40, 50, 60 and 70 years old
(Please bring your health insurance card, etc. to confirm your identity at the time of consultation.)

The Yokohama Periodontal Disease health check-up uses the following items:
1． Tooth condition (seeing all teeth)
2． Periodontal tissue status (measures periodontal pockets * for specific teeth)
※Periodontal pocket: Groove between teeth and gums

※We do not carry out imaging tests with X-rays or tartar removal at Yokohama City Periodontal Disease health check-up.
In addition, even if treatment is required, treatment will not be performed on the same day as health check-up unless the patient wishes.
(If you receive treatment even on the same day as health check-up, you will be charged the treatment fee at the counter separately from the health check-up consultation fee.)

・70 years old → Please bring something that can confirm your age, such as a health insurance card.

・social security Households → Please bring your "Holiday / Night Medical Request Certificate"

・Those who are covered by the support payment system for residual Japanese in China → Please bring your "identity identification card"

・Households exempt from municipal tax and prefectural tax in the previous fiscal year or taxable households only for per capita rate → Procedures are required before health check-up. Please contact your ward office, Health and Welfare Division Health Promotion Section.
