Business license-related business
When selling seafood, peddling, or operating restaurants, permission based on the Food Sanitation Law and the Kanagawa Prefecture Ordinance is required. For these facilities in the market, we provide consultation on drawings in advance, review of business license applications, and conduct permission surveys of facilities.
Hygiene Education
In addition to holding seminars on food hygiene for business operators and market visitors in the markets that handle food, we regularly issue inspection reports and distribute food hygiene-related flyers to market participants. We disseminate and raise awareness of hygiene knowledge by distributing them to market participants.
About hygiene management in line with HACCP
Due to the revision of the Food Sanitation Law, on June 1, 2020, in principle, "hygiene management in accordance with HACCP" was institutionalized (mandatory) for all food businesses. Since there is a one-year transitional measure period, all food businesses, including restaurants and retail stores, must carry out "hygiene management in accordance with HACCP" by June 1, 2021. .
In Yokohama City, following the institutionalization of HACCP, we hold a seminar on "hygiene management incorporating the concept of HACCP" for small businesses in the city.
Research and research
Through inspection work, we conduct deeper research on what is considered important in food hygiene, and use it for monitoring guidance and inspection work.
