Q1 Do you eat chicken and eggs and get bird flu virus (including highly pathogenic avian influenza virus)?

There have been no reports of bird flu virus infecting humans by eating chicken or eggs.
The Cabinet Office Food Safety Commission has also stated that chicken and eggs are "safe."

Q2 Are commercial chickens and eggs safe?

There have been no reports of bird flu virus infecting humans by eating chicken or eggs.
In addition, from the viewpoint of food poisoning prevention, please heat the chicken sufficiently before eating.
Also, if you are worried about eating chicken eggs raw, we recommend that you heat them.
