Traffic safety measures for the elderly

Kohoku Ward Road Safety Silver Leader Liaison Council

A senior citizen's club in the city recommends those who can carry out traffic safety activities, and those who attended the "Yokohama City Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop" sponsored by City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau are "Traffic Safety Silver Leader (Elderly Traffic Safety Leader) ".
Kohoku Ward Road Safety Silver Leader participates in traffic safety campaigns and events in the city to raise awareness of traffic accidents.

2024 Yokohama-shi road safety silver leader training workshop

On November 6, the Yokohama City Traffic Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop was held at the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall, with 21 participants from Kohoku Ward participating.

2023 Yokohama-shi road safety silver leader training workshop

The Road and Highway Bureau Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop was held at Nishi public hall and three other venues in November and December, and 23 participants from Kohoku Ward completed the training.

2022 Yokohama City Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop

On November 2, five people from Kohoku Ward participated in the Yokohama City Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop at Tsuzuki Ward   Office and completed the training.

2021 Yokohama City Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop

On November 11, seven people from Kohoku Ward participated in the Yokohama City Road Safety Silver Leader Training Workshop at Tsuzuki Ward   Office and completed the training.

Elderly walk rally

 In accordance with the spring and autumn “Day to Aim for Zero Traffic Accident Deaths”, we will check the basic knowledge of traffic safety with the advice of traffic instructors, such as precautions when crossing traffic lights and pedestrian crossings while walking on the road. . Members of the Kohoku Ward Silver Leader Liaison Council and members of the district senior citizen club will participate.

Silver driving school

In the face of frequent traffic accidents in which elderly drivers are victims or assailants, active drivers over the age of 65 participate and receive guidance from driving school instructors on car inspection procedures and precautions for elderly drivers. Reconfirm safe driving.
 
 

2024 Silver Driving School (December 16: Kikuna Driving School)

On December 16, a silver driving school was held at Kikuna Driving School.
Eleven people participated and reconfirmed driving skills and precautions, such as experiencing blind spots from the driver in addition to cognitive function tests.

A silver driving school was held at Hiyoshi Driving School on October 31 and a silver driving school at Kikuna Driving School on November 7.
