The Administrative Appeals Examination Law (Law No. 68 of 2014) has been established as a general law on the administrative appeal examination system as described above.

About the flow from the request to the decision

Standard Trial Period

The standard hearing period under Article 16 of the Administrative Appeals Examination Act (the standard period usually required from the time the request for examination arrives at the office to the time the decision on the request for examination) is as follows. (※)

Requests for examination by the Board of Education 5 months
Requests for examination by the superintendent of education 4 months

Since the standard trial period is a guide for the trial period, the trial period may vary depending on the content of the request for examination, such as when there is a petition for an oral statement.
※Examination of disposal based on the ordinance on disclosure of information held by Yokohama City (Yokohama City Ordinance No. 1 in February 2000) and the ordinance on protection of personal information in Yokohama City (Yokohama City Ordinance No. 6 in February 2005) Excludes requests.
