Consideration of new educational centers

　Education & Culture Center has played an important role as a central hub for educational activities, such as research and research activities, training and guidance advice, class improvement support, and information dissemination.
　The Great East Japan Earthquake was closed in March 2013 due to earthquake-resistant issues, and each function was dispersed in multiple private buildings and the hall was abolished.
　In order to create new learning for children in the future, we need to integrate the functions of the educational center, develop advanced research and human resources in collaboration with universities and companies, collaborate with Education Counseling and educational research and training, and present and disseminate research and learning outcomes.

　Regarding the new education center, the contents of the basic philosophy of the facility, necessary functions, facility scale, location conditions, etc. were organized, and the basic concept was compiled based on the opinions of school sites and experts (March 2020) .

　Based on the basic concept formulated in March 2020, we examined locations and business methods appropriate for the development of a new educational center. In fiscal 2021, we will review some of the basic plans to respond to changes in the social environment that could not be expected when formulating the basic plans, such as the expansion of the COVID-19 infection.

　In light of changes in the situation after the basic concept was formulated, such as the response to digitalization by the GIGA School and the expansion of the COVID-19 infection (December 2021).
