What is the Yokohama Children's International Peace Program?

 The program has been implemented since 1986 in order to raise awareness of international peace among elementary school student students in Yokohama and to call on the importance of it to the world. Develop an attitude to practice what we can do in the international community.

We will deliver "Yokohama Children's International Peace Program Introduction Video"!

 At elementary and junior high schools in Yokohama, we have developed a large number of global human resources through the Yokohama Children's International Peace Program.
 This time, we have created a “Yokohama Children's International Peace Program Introduction Video” that summarizes the state of children thinking about international peace through our efforts in the school. "I really want to tell Sekai right now." Please take a look at the voices and expressions of the children who are serious.

Yokohama Children's International Peace Speech Contest

About 40,000 elementary and junior high school students in the city think about international peace from their respective viewpoints.

2024 Finals

 The Yokohama Children's International Peace Speech Contest has been held since 1996 to raise awareness of international peace among elementary school student students in Yokohama. Every year, about 40,000 elementary and junior high school students participate and share their passion for international peace from various perspectives unique to elementary school student students under the theme of "What I want to do for international peace."
 In this contest, qualifying rounds will be held in each ward from mid-June to early July, and representatives selected at each ward qualifying round will participate in the speech contest finals.
 In fiscal 2024, a total of 38 students from elementary school student sent out their thoughts on international peace.

Yokohama Children's International Peace Program Children's Executive Committee

On behalf of elementary school student students in Yokohama, she engages in various activities related to international peace.

 The 38 people who participated in the finals of the speech contest will be entrusted to the "Children's Executive Committee" and will engage in various activities related to international peace throughout the year.

 The four winners of the Mayor's Award in the finals of the speech contest visited the United Nations headquarters in New York as "Yokohama Children's Peace Messenger" and sent out a wish for peace to the world by sending a list of donations made by elementary school student students in the city, and holding talks with U.N. officials.

Yokohama Children's International Peace Symposium
