Reduction in school lunch fees due to COVID-19 infection

1 **If you are absent on the school lunch implementation day (*) for more than four consecutive days** due to COVID-19 infection, the equivalent amount of school lunch fees will be reduced.

　Operation is until May 7, 2023. From May 8th, the same applies to "4 Absences not attributable to COVID-19."
　If applicable, please contact your school for the absence period. Please note that if you do not contact us, the correct reduction calculation may not be performed.
　※school lunch Date: This is the day when school lunch is held at all elementary schools in the city, excluding school lunch, which is conducted independently by each school.
　

2 Absence due to COVID-19 (absence subject to reduction)

In the following cases 1-3, school lunch fees will be reduced.

　①COVID-19 infection has been certified as positive or close contact, and has been instructed by health centers and medical institutions for at least four consecutive days.
　　In case of school lunch implementation date
　　However, if you are absent voluntarily more than the medical treatment period specified by a public health center or medical institution, you may not be eligible for the reduction.
　　※Except for symptoms　

　②Class closures and school year closures for four or more consecutive days in school lunch

　③In case of a temporary school closure (school closure) period of 4 consecutive days in school lunch

3. When the school lunch fee is settled

[Absence due to COVID-19 1 and 2]
　After billing for the March 2023 (for March 2024), we will settle the school lunch fee reduced during 2023.
　※For the fiscal year ending March, billing will be made at the initial amount (the amount before reduction settlement).
　　If there is a difference due to the reduced payment, we will refund (refund) at a later date.

[Absence due to COVID-19 3]
　Payment will be made from the lunch fee for the current month or the following month.

　For those who fall under absences 1-3 due to COVID-19, please check the "Yokohama City School Lunch Fee Collection Change Notice" separately from each school.

4 Regarding absences not attributable to COVID-19

　If you have submitted a school lunch reduction notification form (PDF data below) to each school in advance without receiving school lunch's offer for 14 days or more in a row, please contact the school.
You can receive a reduction in school lunch fees.
　If applicable, please contact the school you are attending.
