Contents and How to Read the Estimation Table
1 About compulsory education Population Estimation Table in FY2024
compulsory education's population projections are based on the estimated number of young children and elementary school student students as of May 1, 2024, based on the Basic Resident Register and the Survey of Schools, and the percentage of students enrolled in elementary school student and compulsory education schools, based on the estimated number ofapartment andelementary school studentcompulsory educationcompulsory education schools.
In addition, the compulsory education population estimates are based on the latest data every fiscal year, as data on the number of enrolled students, infant rate, enrollment rate, transfer rate, and sudden increase factors are expected to fluctuate each fiscal year.
2 Composition of Estimation Table
It is arranged in alphabetical order by elementary school and junior high school.
Note: At compulsory education School, the first semester is included in the primary school and the second semester is included in the junior high school.
3 “Number of elementary school student”, “Number of Students” and “Number of Classes”
(1)The “Individual Support Class” column for FY2024 is the actual number as of May 1st. Figures are external numbers, and there are no estimates for the next fiscal year or later.
(2)In the estimation (general class) column, in fiscal 2024, the number of students enrolled in elementary school student and the actual number of students as of May 1 based on school surveys, etc.
(3)In the estimation (general class) column, from FY2024 to FY2012, the number of infants and the number of seats as of May 1, 2024 is promoted, and the transfer rate (school enrollment rate, enrollment rate) is multiplied by the transfer rate (school enrollment rate, enrollment rate). This is the sum of the estimated value obtained by calculating the amount and the estimated value expected to increase due to the sudden increase.
(It is not an estimate at the beginning of the relevant fiscal year (April 1), but a forecast within that fiscal year.)
(4)The standard for class composition is based on the gradual introduction of a 35-person class in the first half of elementary schools and compulsory education schools. In 2024, 35 students in 1st to 5th graders, 40 sixth graders, and 35 students in all grades from 2025. In the second half of junior high school and compulsory education school, there are 40 students per year in all grades.
4 “Classroom status” and “School area” columns
(1)The “Classroom status” column shows the figures as of May 1, 2024.
General: The number of classrooms that can be used as classrooms for general classes.
Individual: The number of classrooms used as playrooms for individual support classes and individual support classes.
(2)The "School Area" column indicates the entire site area of the current school.
5 Description of Terms
(1)“Infant Change Rate”
This is the ratio of infants in the school area to increase or decrease from the previous year to the current year.
(2)"School enrollment rate"
The percentage of infants in school districts who are planning to enter elementary and compulsory education schools in the following fiscal year are enrolled in elementary and compulsory education schools.
(3)“Admission rate”
This is the percentage of 6th grade students in elementary school and compulsory education school in the school district enter junior high school and enter the second half of compulsory education school.
(4)“Transfer rate”
This is the percentage of elementary school student students in the school district who progress from the previous year to the current year.
(5)Factors of sudden increase
This is the increase in the number of students in elementary school student from the expected construction of apartment. In principle, we have adopted plans to build more than 10 detached houses in apartment in the school district.
