About school elevator

　Currently, elementary school studenｔ students who are unable to go up and down stairs due to the use of wheelchairs are enrolled or are planning to enter the school. If there is no elevator at the school you plan to enroll in, we recommend that you contact the school as soon as possible and go for a tour or consultation.

This is a list of municipal schools where elevators are installed. (As of April 1, 2024)

• Some schools listed in this list may not be accessible by wheelchairs. Please contact each school for details such as specific elevator installation locations. (Example: When there is a school building in a separate building from the school building where the elevator is installed.)
• We are also updating aging elevators. During the renewal period, the elevator will be temporarily unavailable.
• Installation of elevators takes several years for design and construction, and maintenance may be difficult depending on the layout of school buildings.
• Elevators are shared at schools and complex facilities on the same site. (Minami High School Junior High School, Yokohama Science Frontier High School Junior High School, Nakamura Special Needs School, Higashimatano Special Needs School, Arai Elementary School Sakurazaka Branch School and Arai Junior High School Sakurazaka Branch School)

In fiscal 2024, we plan to carry out elevator installation work at 30 schools.
