Voluntary insured persons

The following persons can voluntarily join National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin).

1. Those who live in Japan and are between 60 and 65 years old
   (Those who want to bring the pension amount close to full or those who do not qualify for pension.)
2. Older (Retirement) pensioners under the age of 60
3. Japanese nationals residing overseas between 20 and 65 years old

4. If you are enrolled until the age of 65 and still do not have enough time to receive pension, you can extend your enrollment period until the age of 70.
   (Only those born before April 1, 1965)

If you would like to join the company for reasons such as "In order to increase the number of pension you receive, we would like to pay National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premiums that you have met during the past non-payment period," please ask the ward office National Pension Plan Section.
If you are Address in Japan and are over 60 years old, you will be required to pay insurance premiums by direct debit. In the case of voluntary enrollment procedures, please bring your bank account and bank account registration stamp along with your My Number Card or documents that can clarify your basic pension number.
