Knowing Shigetada Hatakeyama, a warlord related to Asahi Ward
Introducing materials about Shigetada Hatakeyama owned by Yokohama City Library.
Shigetada Hatakeyama was an influential family of the early days of Kamakura shogunate, and is said to have been a military commander with a sense of good character.
However, he was involved in a power struggle in the Shogunate, and finally died in the Battle of Futamatagawa (currently near Tsurugamine, Asahi-ku).
There are many famous traces of Shigetada in Asahi Ward.
