Horse mock
Why is Naka Library's mascot a horse?
The horse in the traditional ritual of Honmoku Shrine, right next to Naka Library, is a horse in the shape of a horse.
In addition, when Yokohama opened its port, the first Western-style racecourse in Negishi was opened, and in Yamate there was a promenade for foreigners living in the settlement, and there were many horses involved in Naka Ward.
It was chosen by the vote of those who use the library.
What's the name of Mock?
- From the "moku" of Honmoku, where Naka Library is located. → Mock
- I was reading a book silently in the illustration.…
- It is easy for both children and foreign nationals to call.
That's why. We recruited names from people using the library and decided.
