About restraint of road construction during holiday season of spring of 2021

In order to ensure safe and smooth road traffic, we control road construction during the spring holiday season, summer season, year-end and New Year holidays, and the end of the fiscal year when traffic volume increases.
Kanagawa Police Headquarters has requested Yokohama City to reduce road construction during the spring holiday season.
I would like cooperation of all of you about control of road construction.

Nine days from Wednesday, April 28, 2021 to Thursday, May 6, 2021

From 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

• National roads, prefectural roads (main local roads), motorways and Yokohama City Road Ring Route 2
• Roads where congestion is expected around tourist destinations
• Roads where congestion is expected around major interchanges
  (For details, please check with the Public Works Office of each ward.)

New road construction should be suppressed as much as possible, except for emergency construction such as disaster recovery.

If you cannot temporarily suspend due to continuous road construction, please change it to the nighttime zone (from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am the next day) as much as possible according to the actual traffic conditions. .

• In the case of permanent zone installation work, ensure thorough management of security facilities by regular patrols.
• For unavoidable construction, such as urgent construction, please pay attention to traffic safety and smoothness.
• During nighttime construction, please take special care to prevent noise and vibration and gain the understanding of local residents.
