Every year, the sewerage facilities in Yokohama City conduct a “simultaneous inspection” to check the maintenance status and training status of rainwater pumps and private power generation facilities in preparation for heavy rain after the rainy season. In fiscal 2023, as a new initiative, training using drones was conducted at all water reclamation centers.

Under the Basic Law on Water Cycle, August 1 is designated as "Water Day" every year, and the national and local governments carry out various educational activities. In Yokohama City, Water Works Bureau, Environmental Planning Bureau and Road and Highway Bureau, which are engaged in water circulation related projects, jointly created a water circulation awareness video that helps us think about the preciousness of water and the importance of water circulation.
