In Yokohama City, the rainwater infiltration capacity of river basins has been significantly reduced due to the progress of urbanization. To address this situation, the River Basin Coordination Division has drafted a safe river improvement plan for the 28 major rivers to which the city will carry out renovation work, and is also working on a conservation rehabilitation plan for the river environment.
