In light of the intensification and frequent occurrence of water-related disasters caused by the effects of climate change, we are promoting water disaster countermeasures (basin flood control) in cooperation with all stakeholders (national, prefectural, municipalities, companies, residents, etc.) to flood areas (areas where flooding is expected due to flooding of rivers, etc.).

In order to promote basin flood control, the following basin flood control projects have been formulated and announced.
The “Basin Flood Control Project” is a compilation of the overall picture of flood control measures to be implemented in each water system, such as rainwater storage and infiltration facilities, in addition to river maintenance, in cooperation with the national government, basin municipalities, companies, etc. .
