Citizen collaboration
- In the Keihin area, we plant trees such as acorn, which was given by citizens, and seedlings grown by children from seeds.
To date, approximately 9,200 seedlings have been planted by a total of 1,400 citizens and local company employees.
In addition, care such as weeding of tree-planting sites is also carried out in collaboration with citizens.
- In order to promote greening together with local elementary schools, we raise seedlings from seeds of trees such as acorn that children picked up in familiar places.
By fiscal 2011, a total of 5,917 children from 11 elementary schools in Kanagawa Ward, Tsurumi Ward, participated in raising seedlings.
The seedlings that have been raised are planted in new parks and corporate green spaces in the Keihin area.
- In the Keihin Forest Creation Project, we are working to promote eco-up and green space expansion in cooperation with citizens, experts, and companies located.
In this context, since 2003, we have been conducting a survey of dragonflies flying in cooperation with the "Dragonfly to Doko or Forum".
