Municipal farm coordinator system

This is a system in which Yokohama City registers a corporation that supports the establishment of a municipal farm (certified municipal vegetable garden) in harmony with local agriculture as a "citizen farm coordinator".
After attending the training hosted by the city, the "Citizen's Farm Coordinator" will cooperate with the establishment support of a municipal farm (certified citizen's garden) in line with the basic concept of municipal farm maintenance promoted by the city.
If you would like assistance in opening a municipal farm, please contact your local agricultural administration office.

※We do not introduce vacant lots of municipal farms.

After attending the training hosted by Yokohama City, the corporation that has undergone the examination will be listed on the list as a citizen's farm coordinator. We introduce registration list to establishment applicant of citizen's farm at agricultural administration office window and publish on homepage and announce.

It is a condition of registration that there is no violation of the Agricultural Land Law, etc., in the municipal farm managed and operated by the municipal farm coordinator. If there is a violation or it is not improved, the registration of the municipal farm coordinator will be deleted.

We introduce municipal farm coordinator to establishment applicant of municipal farm on homepage of city and agricultural administration office window. The municipal farm coordinator will provide specialized advice and support according to the request of the applicant at the time of opening a certified municipal garden.

The specific areas of support for municipal farm coordinators are as follows.

（１） Support for farm establishment procedures
・Land survey of the establishment site, advice and guidance on creating land maps and materials
・Advice on the maintenance of farm facilities, advice and guidance on preparing materials
・Advice and guidance on setting usage fees and recruiting users
・Estimation and advice on establishment and maintenance, management and operation costs, initial investment recovery
・Land surveys for the restoration of non-cultivated land, advice and guidance on enforcement plans

（２） Support for harmonization measures with the surrounding environment and local agriculture
・Advice on measures to prevent damage to the surrounding area and support for design, etc.
・Advice on user safety measures and support for design, etc.
・Advice on measures to prevent street parking and development support for specific measures
・Advice on composting of crop residues and weeds, garbage countermeasures, and support for the formulation of specific measures

In addition to providing information about municipal farms to municipal farm coordinators from city, we support a part of expense when municipal farm coordinator gives advice, instruction of farm establishment procedure.
