Overview of the District
Fujigaoka station area
Around Fujigaoka Station, located in the northwestern part of Yokohama City, the land readjustment project in 1966 has developed urban infrastructure such as roads, parks, and station squares, and Showa University Fujigaoka Hospital and station squares, which play a central role in community medicine. It has evolved to this day along with facilities.
While forming a town with a lush natural environment in addition to the enhancement of medical care, half a century has passed since the town was formed, the aging of residents has progressed, and commercial vacant stores and facilities are aging. The aging is beginning to stand out, and various issues are becoming apparent.
