Floor area ratio mitigation policy for accommodation facilities
In June 2016, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism issued a notification to local governments regarding the relaxation of the floor area ratio of accommodation facilities as an initiative to promote the development of accommodation facilities that contribute to the promotion of tourism nation.
In response to the Rugby World Cup 2019 and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the city has received notification from the government to improve the stay environment for visitors by location of high-quality accommodation facilities. We have formulated a floor area ratio mitigation policy.
