Master Plan for Reorganization of the Keihin Coastal Area

Last updated on July 17, 2024.

In February 1997, Yokohama City formulated the “Keihin Coastal Area Reorganization Development Master Plan” in order to respond to the hollowing out of industry due to overseas relocation of production functions in the Keihin coastal area.
Subsequently, in September 2018, the Keihin Coastal Area Reorganization Development Master Plan was revised in light of changes in socio-economic conditions, such as the progress of new technological reforms through the spread of advanced technologies and the increase in awareness of the environment and disaster prevention.
Based on this plan, we will work with local companies to make use of the potential of the Keihin coastal area and promote town development for further development.
