Overview of the Council

Purpose of installation

※The Council was abolished as of December 2018.

In February 1997, the Keihin Coastal Area formulated the Keihin Coastal Area Reorganization Master Plan (hereinafter referred to as the “Master Plan”) to maintain and improve the operating environment of the manufacturing industry and the formation of the Yokohama Science Frontier. However, the industrial structure has changed in light of the accelerating globalization of industries and the consolidation of production functions, and the need to review the environment and disaster prevention. Therefore, in order to further develop as a base for internationally competitive industries that take advantage of the high potential of being located between Haneda Airport and central Yokohama, we will proceed with studying the revision of the master plan. We hold "Yokohama-shi Keihin coastal area reorganization maintenance master plan revision council".
