The Urban Renewal Emergency Development Area and the Specified Urban Renewal Emergency Development Area are designated by a government ordinance based on the Act on Special Measures for Urban Renewal (promulgated on April 5, 2002, enforced on June 1, 2002, hereinafter referred to as the "law"). Of the areas of Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kitako 1-chome and 2-chome, Kusunoki (limited to the area east of the city road Aoki Asama Line) Sengencho (limited to the area east of the city road Aoki Asama Line and north of the prefectural road Yokohama Ikuta.)
