Information on measures to prevent legionellosis in Yokohama City
Yokohama City has established the guidelines for measures to prevent legionellosis in Yokohama City, and has established standards for management of bath facilities, hot water supply facilities, aquascape facilities, cooling towers, and humidifiers in hospitals and social welfare facilities. Eligible facilities
- Public baths prescribed in Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the Public Bath Act (Act No. 139 of July 12, 1948)
- Facilities that perform the inn business prescribed in Article 2 of the Ryokan Business Act (Act No. 138 of July 12, 1948)
- Pool prescribed in Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the Ordinance on Kanagawa Beaches (Kanagawa Prefecture Ordinance No. 4 on April 1, 1959)
- Specific buildings prescribed in Article 2 of the Act on Securing a Sanitary Environment in Buildings (Act No. 20 of 1970)
- Hospital, clinics
- Social welfare facilities such as nursing homes for the elderly, nursing homes for the elderly (nursing homes), daycare centers, etc.
- Facilities that conduct the housing accommodation business prescribed in Article 2, Paragraph 3 of the Housing Accommodation Business Act (Act No. 65 of 2017)
- Facilities deemed necessary by the director of the health center

Bathroom facilities
Mechanical bathtub (special bathtub)
Of the bath facilities where an unspecified number of people take a bath, those that keep the hot water in the bathtub clean by circulating hot water through a filter, and those that circulate for heating are called circulation bathtub equipment. If Legionella spp. is detected in the equipment to be managed, or if a user of the facility is found to have Legionellosis or suspected Legionellosis, immediately contact Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division in the district where the facility is located.
In addition, investigate the cause of the growth of Legionella spp., and review the maintenance method to prevent recurrence.

- Before starting use, clean water tanks, hoses, etc.
