At the African Day Reception 2024, I gave a greeting as the mayor of the host city of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9). The reception was hosted by the ADC (Africa Diplomatic Mission in Tokyo) to commemorate the establishment of the African Union (AU), the predecessor of the African Union (AU).
The 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) will be held in Yokohama from August 20 to August 22 next year. We will proceed with preparations in cooperation with the embassies of African countries.
