About the Nishi Ward Disaster Volunteer Network

The Disaster Volunteer Network is a resident-based organization that aims to support inhabitants of a ward in the event of a disaster, and works in cooperation with administrative organizations led by residents and local organizations.
In the event of a large-scale disaster, at the request of the Nishi Ward Office, the Japan National Council of Social Welfare established the Disaster Volunteer Center, led by the Nishi Ward, and the Disaster Volunteer Network cooperates with the operation.

Activities
- Regular meetings held (generally on the third Saturday morning of every month)
- Exchange and Information Exchange among Volunteers
- Conduct training for setting up and operating disaster volunteer centers
- Holding human resource training sessions, etc.
