A seismic breaker is a device that detects a certain level of earthquake and automatically shuts off the breaker and shuts off the supply of electricity.
More than 60% of the fires that occurred in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and Great East Japan Earthquake (the cause of the fire was confirmed) are said to be caused by electricity.
To prevent an energized fire (*) during major earthquake, it is effective to install a seismic breaker that detects shaking and automatically shuts off electricity.
Nishi Ward is assisting the purchase cost of this seismic breaker as antidisaster measure in the event of an earthquake fire.

※Power-on fire
　After a power outage due to an earthquake or the like, a fire caused by a short circuit of an electric cord that was broken when electricity was restored.

　Purchase a seismic breaker for Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations units.

　Based on the performance evaluation of seismic breakers, etc. specified in the “Performance Evaluation Guidelines for Seismic Breakers” (Cabinet Office), it refers to those that have been certified by the Japan Fire Equipment Safety Center.
