What is Kotobuki Taiko and Hongodai?
Kotobuki Taiko and Hongodai are wadaiko circles formed by seniors in their 60s and 80s. We practice three times a month as a group registered in the "name and master of the town" of the Sakae inhabitant of a ward activity center "Platto Sakae". Every year, we participate in circle presentations and the Kamigo District Center Festival, and announce the results of our daily activities.
State of the day
The music room of Kamigo district center. When you open the thick soundproof door, fine drums are lined up, and members are preparing in front of it. After briefly explaining the circle, Mayor Hayami also participated in the practice with a drum bee.
The sound of a drum beats by Dr. Yamada with a model shakes the air and echos in each body. Starting with a simple rhythm, the sound of a taiko, which gradually became more complex, felt like the whole room was trembling.
Finally, the members performed "Kannazuki", which was also performed at the Kamigo District Center Festival. I was overwhelmed by the powerful sound of your breath.
"Kotobuki Taiko / Hongodai" said that he would like to increase the number of members again in the future, and received opinions on the placement of recruitment flyers.
