About street trees (Seya Ward)

・ The Seya Public Works Office maintains and manages street trees, including pruning and cutting trees.
・ We conduct street tree diagnosis by a tree physician who is an expert, and plant trees especially in dangerous tree species that are likely to fall, and in sections that correspond to emergency transportation routes.　
　 We carry out systematic diagnosis of street trees.
・ In the street tree diagnosis, mushrooms that decay the roots, or trees with a high cavity rate inside the trees have been found to prevent fallen trees.
　 We are cutting down.

・ As Yoshino cherry tree is vulnerable to illness and increases the risk of falling trees over the years, the Yoshino cherry tree lies on the Naval Roads and Nokai Roads.　
　 Every year, we conduct street tree diagnosis and strive for proper maintenance.

・ Pruned branches and felled trees generated during the maintenance and management of street trees are brought to green recycling plants as much as possible, and composting.
　 We are promoting recycling.

・ Wood chips and firewood made from cut street trees are used to make local people feel closer to the recycling of street trees.　
　 It was distributed at the Seya Festival 2023.
