How Seyamaru became the mascot character of Seya Ward
<The shape of Seya Ward is Konohazuku>
Seya Ward's shape resembles owl's fellow Konohazuku, and it looks like Konohazuku's stop on the Tokaido Shinkansen, which looks like a permanent tree.
What is the name of "Seyamaru"?>
"Seyamaru" was named in 2002 based on nicknames from residents of the city.
Since then, the Seyamaru family has been established as a popular character among residents.
Appeared in public relations activities of the ward office's business and various events inside and outside the ward, and is active.
In March 2020, as a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Seya Ward System, in front of the entrance to the ward office building on the first floor of the ward office building.
A bronze statue of Seyamaru has been installed. Everyone loves me!
What kind of bird is Konohazuku?
Japan's smallest member of owl, 20cm in length. It's smaller than starlings.
They eat insects flying in the air.
I live in a forest with large trees in the mountains of Hokkaido and Honshu.
During the breeding season, from midnight to dawn, "Bupposo (Buddha Buddhist monk)" and so on.
I can hear it.
