About evacuation sites, which is opened in the event of a typhoon or heavy rain

Last updated on December 9, 2024.

In Yokohama City, we have identified cliffs that could cause significant damage to houses in the event of a landslide, and have selected "Immediate evacuation warning Areas" that will simultaneously issue evacuation warning along with the announcement of the landslide alert information.

If landslide alert information is announced in the northern part of Yokohama, the Tsurumi Ward Office will issue a evacuation warning and open four evacuation sites locations to help those living in the target area evacuate.

evacuation sites when landslide alert information is announced in the northern part of Yokohama

① Sueyoshi District Center (2-16-16 Kamisueyoshi)
② 2nd floor of Kishiya Park Meeting House (3-20-25 Kishitani)
③ Terao Community Care Plaza (6-37-14 Tojio)
④ Shishigaya community hall (1-18-53 Shishigaya)

※1 Pets cannot be evacuated.
※24 Shishigaya community hall may not be opened depending on the disaster situation.

When landslide alert information was announced on March 25, 2019 in the northern part of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama City will send "Emergency Bulletin Mail" to all smartphones and mobile phones in Tsurumi Ward.
However, only some areas listed in the e-mails are subject to immediate evacuation warning, and about 29 of the approximately 150,000 households in Tsurumi Ward are eligible. (As of August 2024)

〇 Precautions for Evacuation

〇 Evacuation with pets

  • Temporary breeding places for pets in evacuation sites during storms and floods are separate from human evacuation spaces. (Temporary breeding places vary from school to school.)
  • At the designated breeding place, the cage prepared by the owner will be placed.
  • Please note that even in a covered area, wind and rain may be affected depending on the situation.
  • In addition, please prepare equipment other than cages necessary for temporary breeding (pet food, etc.) as necessary.
