What is the Tsurumi Ward Independence Support Council?
In Tsurumi Ward, related organizations that support people with disabilities to live in the community work together to share local issues and information on life support, and to improve support for people with disabilities.
There are three subcommittees, "consultation", "advocacy", and "mental health welfare", and they work daily.
"Mental Health and Welfare Subcommittee" started in 2018.
Workplaces related to mental health and welfare in the community, such as workshops, group homes, medical institutions, and consultation support offices, gather to create face-to-face relationships between persons with disabilities and supporters in Tsurumi Ward, and to raise awareness among local residents.
