Basic Guidelines for Multicultural Symbiosis in Tsurumi Ward
[Purpose of Formulation]
In 2008, Tsurumi Ward formulated the Action Plan for Promoting Multicultural Symbiosis in Tsurumi Ward, and has been promoting the development of a city that is easy for everyone to live through exchanges and activities across nationalities while understanding and respecting each other's cultures.
Fifteen years have passed since the action plan was formulated, and the number of foreigners is increasing and the nationality is diversifying. The Tsurumi Ward Basic Guidelines for Multicultural Symbiosis have been formulated.
Based on these guidelines, Tsurumi Ward will continue to promote measures to further develop a multicultural society in cooperation with local communities, businesses and organizations.
[Development Process]
Tsurumi Ward has continued its efforts following the Tsurumi Ward Action Plan for Multicultural Symbiosis and the Tsurumi Ward Declaration on Multicultural Symbiosis in 2008. However, in light of changes in the environment, such as the further increase in foreign residents and multinationalization, we started a survey in fiscal 2021 to understand the situation of foreigners living in the ward.
In fiscal 1994 and 5, in addition to support organizations and organizations, it became clear that Tsurumi Ward's appeal and desire to interact with local communities, and that foreign residents have difficulties in living.
Even after the survey, experts, related organizations, foreign residents of the city, etc. will give their opinions on this guideline, reflect them in the contents of their goals and measures, and give advice on development after the formulation. I am. These connections are the power of Tsurumi Ward, which has long been engaged in multicultural coexistence.
In order to further expand the circle of multicultural coexistence throughout the region, we aim to realize “Tsurumi, a city that transcends national and cultural differences,” while deepening cooperation with people who live, work, and work in Tsurumi Ward.
