The story of a bee
Last updated on January 7, 2025.
Hornets and paper wasps are beneficial insects that catch and eat plant pests.
However, nesting in a place close to us can be dangerous insects.
There are two types that are often seen.
We start nesting around April and work until around October.
When it gets cold, the bees die and the nest becomes empty.
The nest is disposable only for one year.

When exterminate…
Although Health and Welfare Center does not exterminate nests, we provide consultation on hornets and wasps, guidance to exterminators, and lend protective clothing and equipment for extermination by themselves.
In addition, since hornets are highly aggressive, we recommend that you ask a professional when removing nests.
Please check carefully, such as taking a look in advance, before requesting.

The story of bee venom and allergies
When a person is bitten by a bee for the first time, anyone can have transient pain and swelling. In a very small number of people, if a bee bites twice or three times, they cause an allergic reaction called an antigen antibody reaction, which makes you feel sick, and in the worst case, life-threatening. Such symptoms are called anaphylactic shock, which occurs within an hour after being bitten by a bee, usually 10 to 30 minutes.
Once a bee bites, be careful not to get stuck.
Bee sting accidents are concentrated during the month from late August to mid-September, accounting for 70% of annual sting accidents.
